The Lapiz Group of Companies: Who We Are

Slab racks, construction chemical drums and coated metal profiles staged in a UAE warehouse

The Lapiz Group of Companies is a UAE building materials group founded in 2020 and led by group general manager Shariful Haque, now running five companies and a team of 75+ people: Lapiz Blue General Trading supplies construction chemicals, Global Classic Building Materials supplies engineered stone slabs, bathware and surface care, Sixty Newton Technical Services applies and installs, Montolite Building Materials trades building materials, and Alsama Metal Coatings and Ind covers metal coatings. Together they run stock, distribution and approved applicators across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

One group, five companies, one supply chain

Most building materials suppliers in the UAE sit at exactly one point in a project's life. They sell the adhesive but not the slab, or the slab but not the installation, or the installation but not the care products that keep the handover looking like a handover. The Lapiz Group was assembled against that fragmentation: five licensed UAE companies, each owning one stage of the same supply chain, so a contractor can source the chemistry, the surface, the application and the aftercare from one accountable group.

The timeline tells the strategy. Lapiz Blue General Trading was founded in Dubai in 2020 and opened its Abu Dhabi branch in 2021. Montolite Building Materials followed in 2022, Alsama Metal Coatings in 2023, and 2024 added both Sixty Newton Technical Services and Global Classic Building Materials - one new licensed company per discipline, roughly one per year, under founder and group general manager Shariful Haque. Today the group runs a team of more than 75 people across the Emirates.

The structure is simple to read. Lapiz Blue General Trading LLC is the construction chemicals distributor and the group's founding trading engine. Global Classic Building Materials LLC is the surfaces company - engineered stone slabs, bathware and surface care, stocked in Sharjah. Sixty Newton Technical Services LLC is the application arm that puts materials on floors and walls. Montolite Building Materials LLC trades building materials, and Alsama Metal Coatings and Ind LLC covers the metals side. Distribution runs from three industrial bases - Al Quoz in Dubai, Mussafah in Abu Dhabi and Al Sajaa in Sharjah - which is what makes next-day supply across the Emirates a routine promise rather than a stretch.

Lapiz Blue General Trading LLC - construction chemicals

Lapiz Blue, founded in 2020 with the Abu Dhabi branch following in 2021, is the group's construction chemicals house: tile adhesives and grouts, waterproofing membranes, epoxy flooring systems, concrete repair, tile trims and profiles, movement joints, shower drainage and skirting systems. It distributes for the manufacturers specifiers actually write into BOQs - Mapei, Laticrete, Weber Saint-Gobain, Kerakoll, Profilpas, AkzoNobel Dulux, Pidilite, FILA, Montolit, DeWalt and Hilti among them - with official technical and safety data sheets travelling with every quotation.

The project list is where the group's standing shows. Lapiz Blue materials have supplied landmark UAE work including DAMAC Lagoons, the Royal Atlantis, the Al Wathba resort and spa and Al Maya Island, with close working relationships on the developer side including DAMAC and Nakheel. Operationally it behaves like a logistics company that happens to sell chemistry: distribution centres in Al Quoz, Mussafah 40 and Al Sajaa, next-day delivery on orders placed before 3pm, trade pricing with credit terms for account customers, and in-house technical teams who answer application questions rather than reading labels back to you. For the group it is also the commercial spine - the supplier relationships, delivery fleet discipline and trade-counter systems that the younger companies inherited on day one.

Global Classic Building Materials LLC - stone, bathware and care

Global Classic is the group's surfaces company and the publisher of this journal - a 2024 Sharjah company built to give the group its own slab yard. It is certified through the official KalingaStone channel as an authorized reseller, holding 128 shades of engineered stone as full slabs at Al Sajaa: 69 quartz shades, 35 engineered marble shades and 24 terrazzo shades, sold wholesale to contractors, developers, fabricators and design companies with AED trade pricing and delivery to every emirate.

Two more agencies complete its counter. It is an authorized dealer for Jaquar bathware - 1,480 catalogued products across faucets, sanitaryware, showers, wellness and water heaters - and FILA's certified Preferred UAE Distributor for 2026 in surface care, which closes the loop the rest of the group opens: the chemistry that protects the slab after Sixty Newton has installed it. Both certificates are published on the products page and travel with quotations.

Sixty Newton Technical Services LLC - the application arm

Materials fail at application more often than they fail in the box, which is why the group added its own technical services company in 2024 rather than keeping a list of recommended subcontractors. Sixty Newton - legally Sixty Newton Technical Services LLC, trading online as 60newton - is a Dubai-licensed contractor working across the Emirates from Al Quoz, covering fourteen disciplines: waterproofing systems, epoxy and vinyl flooring, marble installation, large-format tiling, microtopping, decorative concrete, protective coatings, painting, insulation and building repair among them.

The credential that matters to a consultant is the approved-applicator list. Sixty Newton is an approved applicator for Mapei, Laticrete, AkzoNobel, Weber Saint-Gobain, Kerakoll, X-Calibur and Saveto - the same manufacturers Lapiz Blue distributes - which means the warranty chain from product to workmanship stays inside one group instead of dissolving between a supplier and an unrelated installer. For buyers of Global Classic slabs it is the answer to the question every wholesale supplier gets asked: supply-only, yes, but with an authorized applicator available when the project wants one.

Montolite and Alsama - materials and metal coatings

Two further companies round out the group. Montolite Building Materials LLC, founded in 2022 with its own co-founding partner, Mr. Shariq, is the general building materials trading company, extending the group's range beyond chemistry and stone into the wider materials a site consumes. Alsama Metal Coatings and Ind LLC followed in 2023 and covers metal coatings and industrial finishing - the treatments that put durable, specified finishes onto metalwork.

Both currently operate through the group's trade channels rather than their own websites, and their public profiles are growing as their books do. They matter to this story less for their size than for what they signal: the group builds a licensed company around each discipline it takes on, rather than bolting unfamiliar product lines onto an existing trade licence and hoping the expertise follows.

What the group structure means for a buyer

For a contractor or developer, the practical value of the Lapiz Group is that responsibility does not fragment. The waterproofing under the floor, the adhesive in the middle, the slab on top, the installer's workmanship and the care products at handover can all trace to one group with aligned incentives - no supplier blaming an installer who blames a product that nobody present actually sold.

It also compresses the boring logistics that decide whether a programme holds: one group across three emirates' industrial areas, one delivery discipline, one set of trade terms, and technical people on both the supply and application side of every question. Global Classic's own promises - ex-stock slabs, BOQ pricing in AED, documented agency certificates - are one company's expression of that group habit. Start with the supplier checklist if you are qualifying stone suppliers, or send a BOQ and price the group's answer directly.

Questions, answered.

A UAE building materials group of five companies: Lapiz Blue General Trading (construction chemicals, founded 2020), Global Classic Building Materials (stone slabs, bathware and care), Sixty Newton Technical Services (application and contracting), Montolite Building Materials (building materials) and Alsama Metal Coatings and Ind (metal coatings).

Shariful Haque, who founded Lapiz Blue in Dubai in 2020 and serves as group general manager across all five companies, alongside partners per company. The group has grown to a team of more than 75 people.

Yes. Global Classic Building Materials LLC is the group's surfaces company - a 2024 Sharjah company holding KalingaStone slabs, Jaquar bathware and FILA care at Al Sajaa, selling wholesale across the UAE.

Across the UAE from three industrial bases: Al Quoz in Dubai, Mussafah 40 in Abu Dhabi and Al Sajaa in Sharjah, with delivery to every emirate and next-day service on stocked lines.

Through Sixty Newton Technical Services, yes. It is the group's application arm - an approved applicator for Mapei, Laticrete, Weber, Kerakoll and others, covering waterproofing, flooring, tiling and marble installation. Supply-only remains the default; application is there when a project wants it.
